Vintage 1937 Gibson L-30 arch top acoustic guitar, original black finish.
This is a prewar Gibson non-cutaway L30 guitar in the original black finish.
Factory # 1924C - 36
It is in excellent overall cosmetic condition, some minor wear but overall very nice.
The black finish is strong throughout the guitar. Some pickwear on the top, very little neck or back wear.
1 repaired back crack and 1 top crack, seems OK and stable but probably should be glued.
All original: finish, pick guard, tailpiece, tuners, bridge, frets.
It has a very pronounced “V” neck shape, feels great.
Width at nut is 1 ¾”
Upper bout 10 ¼”
Lower bout 14 ¾”
Body 19 ½” long
3 5/8” deep at the butt end
25” scale length
It plays like a dream, great action, straight neck.
Excellent tone, good strong volume, evenly balanced.
Original soft shell case with purple interior, case is very, very rough but original.
