 Up for auction is a 2002 Gibson Hummingbird.
Let me say before I give the details, I hate to sell this little bird but..................
I have ordered a custom guitar and I would rather have the money this one earns to put toward the new one, than keep them both.
So there is nothing wrong with this guitar what-so-ever.

I bought it new in late 2001, I have not been able to find the paper work, if I find it before the auction is over I will send it along.
It will probably turn up when I am looking for something else.

The Hummingbird is without doubt one of the fancy'ist looking guitars out there and that was the first thing I was drawn too.
After buying it I was not very impressed with the playability of it though. As it did have a very high action on the strings. (As do all new gibsons)
I sent it into a custom shop and had the neck, nut, and saddle lowered as well as had an under saddle pickup installed.
So now this little guitar sounds better than it ever has and plays like a electric guitar. This would be a great guitar for someone just starting as it is extremely easy to do bar chords on this guitar.
I was at the music store the other day and saw the 2010 Hummingbirds. They did not even compare to this 2002 model.
The 2010's did not have the deep dark mahogany color around the back and sides.And as for the sound, not even close.

There is no damage on the guitar, just normal wear, (mainly just where the paint has been played off the pick guard.)
There are some small little chips on the corner of the finish on the back of the head stock. I tried to take pics but they are so small my camera would not zoom in to them.
I have babied this guitar since I have owned it. It has not been played outside, only in church, and inside the house, I clean and polish it every time I change the strings, which is ruffly every 2-3 months. If you look at the pic of the back of the guitar you can see me in the reflection.
With the exception of trying new strings once or twice, it has pretty much only ever had Elixir strings on it. And that is what it will arrive with.
Included with the guitar is the case, a guitar stand, an automatic tuner, and a shoulder strap.
