Welcome bidders, you are bidding on an incredibly special piece! This is the 1948 Gibson L-12 Archtop Acoustic! Serial: A-1455. 25.5" scale. 1 11/16" nut width. 17" bottom bout. The L-12 was only produced in low quantities! As a matter of fact, in 1948 only 56 of these were created! This beautiful example is in extremely fine condition- sounds/plays amazing! When you are holding a handcrafted instrument, you can feel the love and dedication that went into making it! This has a vibe to it you just won't find anywhere else! The solid hand carved Adirondak Spruce top combines with the maple back and sides to produce a tone that has warmth and projection- but also has plenty of midrange to cut through the mix! The flamed maple neck has a comfortable mid-sized C profile! The figuring here is simply beautiful! Which brings us to the overall look of the instrument- all I can say is Wow! Fully bound body, neck, and headstock- with the rare tortoise pickguard! The brazilian rosewood board has paralellogram inlays which adds to the aesthetics! This is the guitar you NEED in your collection! The frets are clean and the neck is straight! Setup with flatwounds for an incredible warm tone! This baby is original! There are some finish checks and the binding has shrunk a bit, pickguard mounts have been replaced with ebony- and a small finish split near the tailpiece mount- to be expected- but nothing that adversely affects the guitar at all. This is a solid testament to Gibsons early building! And the original hardshell case is included! We have been an authorized Gibson dealer for well over a decade and can guarantee this L-12 to be free of breaks, repairs, or mods not listed! 5. If an item is damaged in shipping- please keep all packing materials and contact us immediately so we can file a claim.

6. Unfortunately, we can no longer ship to the Russian Federation due to a high rate of theft.

7. Due to new USPS guidelines- certain countries will not accept USPS packages over 42". If that is the case, we can remove the neck or, if it is a set/neck-thru we can ship Fedex International for an additional charge.

8. Flat rate shipping is for continental USA only- all other territories will be calculated.

9. Buyer to pay applicable import duties/taxes- We cannot reduce the shipping value to your country- please don't ask.

10. NY residents to pay sales tax- we don't 'charge' it- we just 'collect' it...
