Gibson Acoustic

You are looking at a very unusual old Gibson. It was described as a B-15 when I bought it but the B-15s had the same headstock as the vintage Gibson Melody Makers, a rectangular basic bridge and the larger pick guard. It has ladder bracing, natural spruce top, mahogany back and sides. rosewood bridge (looks like a J-45 style), MOP? dots, white binding (faded to tv yellow), the original inline tuners (aged buttons) and the original adjustable saddle. This is a time capsule guitar. There is some minor buckle rash on the back and a few miniscule dings and scratches but there are no cracks anywhere. For a 43 year old guitar it is amazingly nice. I brought it to my luthier and he reglued a cracked brace, tightened up some loose frets, dressed the frets and adjusted the neck. There are no playability issues of any kind. The action is low and fast and the volume and sustain surprised me especially with the wooden saddle. This old Gibson is loaded with MOJO and is a killer little blues machine. The nut width is 1 11/16 and the scale length is 24.75. I sell only gig ready guitars and this one is no exception. It has been thoroughly gone over by a highly respected luthier and any needed repairs and adjustments were made. No aploogies- no surprises; just a beautiful vintage Gibson with many years of faithful service ahead.

This has been stored in a humidity controlled, smoke free environment and has no musty odors that are common with vintage pieces like this. It will ship in a properly sized 70s chipboard case and will be well packed. I have sold many guitars and amps and have always maintained a 100% feedback rating. This is the nicest LG style Gibson I have seen and I have seen plenty. You will be amazed at the condition, tone and playability of this little big guitar. Rock steady.
