Here we have a 1954 Gibson J-160E acoustic/electric guitar for sale. This is the first year they made this model, as it has 19 frets and the adjustable bridge. They changed both of these in 1955. Everything is correct on this and nothing has been changed. The P90 pickup is strong and sounds great. There is a crack that has been repaired on the top, which I've documented in my pictures, and also had a neck heel break that has been fixed. Every repair is solid and it sounds and plays great, just like an old Gibson should. This is, of course, the model that John Lennon made famous later. Think of the acoustic guitar sounds on the old Beatles records. This is it!
