This is a 1969 Vintage Gibson B45-12 12-String acoustic guitar, made in Kalamazoo, MI, USA (serial 814467). The B45-12 was the top end of Gibson's B-series acoustics that were released in 1961. They were used extensively by guitar greats like Gordon Lightfoot, Peter, Paul & Mary and Leo Kottke. In 1964, Gibson changed over to a trapeze tailpiece design to more evenly distribute the string tension (the earlier bridge only models had a tendency to have bowed/caved tops). This 1969 model is one of the sweetest 12's I've ever played (an I've owned several Martins & Taylors, including the Taylor Leo Kottke model). Specs:

This guitar is used but in good / very good condition (especially if you factor in the age); no major dents, just some surface finish scratches, nicks and mild buckle rash from normal playing . There is just two minor cracks along the pickguard (pictured above) - these have been professionally inspected by a respected luthier and he has confirmed that they are stable. No other cracks or structual damage anywhere.

The neck is straight and the truss rod works smoothly in both directions. The frets are in very good condition, the action has been professionally setup with new strings. The guitar plays beautifully and sounds AMAZING. A newere 1994 (100th Anniversary) Gibson Montana brown hardshell case (purple interior) is included. The case has normal scuffs and scratches from normal use, but all latches/lock work and there are no crackss. The guitar will be packed very well and fully insured.
