Gibson Acoustic

        When someone
passes from this life there is always sadness and sorrow.  The grieving process can take months, years
even a life time.  When the loved one is
also a musician his or her instrument also suffers a loss, the loss of its
voice.  For a no reserve auction we have such
an instrument.  The purchase of this
beautiful Gibson “lefty” acoustic guitar was the fulfillment of a long time
desire.  The owner, like many a player,
started with a cheap guitar while attending his freshman year at college. I know
this to be a fact as my nephew was his roommate.  All through their college years they both
stayed interested in their music and progressed in their musical
abilities.  In 2003 after many years
pursuing his career vocation the dream of owning a prestigious Gibson became a
reality.  Just a year later, while
participating in a pick up basketball game, he suffered a fatal heart attack.  The instrument, with probably under a hundred
hours of use, has remained stored in its hard shell case with its original paper
work ever since.  As I’m not a musician
I’ll trust my pictures to describe the beautiful, lightly played guitar.  Gibson attached tag states: 1950’s SJ-200
replica with solid spruce top, solid flamed maple back and sides, maple neck
with Madagascar
rosewood and mother of pearl inlays.  Instrument
was purchased on 6/2/2003, model 20 AN Lefty, Serial # 01293008.  I understand from musician friends that the SJ-200 is highly collectible and this one in mint condition
will only go up in value.  A Gibson Gold Warrant card, bar coded description
card, humidifier instructions and pre-pack check list are included as well as the
original “logo” hard case in this auction.  It’s time for its voice to be restored.  If you have
