Vintage 1960's Gibson Acoustic LG0 LG-0 LGO LG-O with original case

 This is a small bodied, all mahogany guitar from either 1966 or 1969 (serial number is 8293?5).  If you know these guitars it is exactly what you would expect.

Features.  This guitar has a mahogany top, back, sides, and neck with tortoise style binding, and a beautiful rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays.  Nut width is 1  11/16".  I believe everything is original except, as is common with these guitars, the original PLASTIC Bridge was replaced with a rosewood bridge to improve the sound of the guitar (I have the original part if you want it).  Please look carefully at the work on the bridge in the photos.  The tortoise binding looks great.

Sound and feel.  As you would expect, these little LG-0's are great players.  This one has a bright bluesy tone, good action up and down the neck, super comfortable playablility and an all around warm and intimate sound.

Condition.  The guitar is in good shape for its age.  Apart from some obvious marking around the bridge replacement, there are a few scratches, mostly on one side and a few on the back, plus some nice grazing (please see photos) but no real dings and no structural issues.   The tuners are in great shape and appear original.  All the parts, except the bridge, appear original and everything is in good working order.  There are no playing issues and its holds a tune very well.   It has nice big, original frets, with tons of life left. 

Comes with what appears to be the original Gibson red interior chipboard case.

Shipping policy:   I will ship as quickly as I can once I've received payment from the winning bidder.  If you pay with a check or cashier’s check, I will ship after the funds have cleared.  I pack the item well, and ship in a secure box.  In the US, it will be shipped by UPS ground with tracking. The shipping quote on this listing is for Continental US bidders only.   

Payment policy:  PayPal is preferred. If you pay by anything other than PayPal I will wait until the funds have cleared before I ship. Local buyers (who pickup and save shipping costs) are required to pay with cash.

Insurance:  Insurance is included at the bid amount. 

Foreign Buyers.   I will ONLY accept bids in the US, Canada and Western Europe.  Please no bidders from China, Indonesia, Australia, Eastern Europe, and especially Nigeria.  If you are in doubt, check with me first.   All international bidders are required to use PayPal.   International buyers shipping charges will be an estimate of my costs plus $10 for the box and shipping materials.  To estimate shipping costs, I ship from Boca Raton FL 33496 in a well padded, secure box that is typically 50" x 20" x 8" and it will weigh less than 30 pounds.  USPS is usually cheapest but you must check to be certain that they will accept packages larger than 50" in length and 106" in length + girth in your county.  Typically it will cost $125 - $150.  Also, with USPS there are often limits on the amount of insurance that can be purchased.  Losses beyond the insurance are your responsibility.  If this is not acceptable, I can ship by UPS or DHL, but they are more expensive.  Sorry, I cannot work out individual shipping costs in advance. International buyers are responsible for all duties and fees to your county.  I cannot possibly take these into account in an auction format.
