1968 Gibson J 50 acoustic guitar for sale,your plain jane J45 natural topped guitar.The J45 is the sunburst topped model. Mahogany back and sides,solid spruce top,X braced,original small pick guard, rosewood bridge with adj saddle.Original tuning keys,no volute,square shoulder model. Great guitar for the money ,good shape cosmetically,hard chip era case, great way to get into some vintage wood for an affordable price range. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard,good frets. No bridge problems or lifting,original vintage tuning keys,hard case include. I do not think the truss rod has ever been adjusted as evident by glue from factory nut installation still visible,This guitar came from Gibson with a rosewood bridge and adjustable ceramic bridge saddle, it has two saddles one in rosewood with bone on top and the original ceramic one, Truss rod seems to have never been adjusted as evidence of hide glue from nut installation at factory,neck is straight,ready to play.NO BREAKS OR REPAIRS,NO ISSUES,NO TRUSS ROD PROBLEMS,FRETS ARE FINE,FINISH CHECKING IS VISIBLE ON GUITAR .
( cracked but works).I would have the slot on the bridge filled in with rosewood and reslotted for a compensated bridge saddle,plays fine as is.
