Functional Issues/Problems: the bridge is lifting off the body a bit

This vintage Gibson C-1 classical guitar looks fantastic!

The body of this guitar is in a wonderful, aged condition. It doesn’t have any cracks or chips in the wood. However, there are is a lot of checking in the lacquer on the top, back, and sides. Some small spots of lacquer are actually missing as a result of the checking. Some scuff marks, scratches, and indentations can be found on the top, back, and sides of the body. The bridge is lifting off the body a bit (as pictured). The neck and headstock both show very similar wear as the body--plenty of lacquer checking, some small scuff marks, scratches, and dings. There is a small chip in the middle of the fretboard between the 6th and 7th frets and D and G strings, but otherwise looks flawless.

The frets show moderate wear. The neck is straight and the action on this guitar is a little high. Despite the bridge lifting, this guitar plays very well and sounds terrific!

Some things just get better with age and this sweet classical Gibson is no exception. Its lacquer checking gives it that classic vintage look you love, but its sound is going to enchant you! Do not miss out on it!
