you are bidding on a 1968 vintage j200 custom guitar. Pete Townsand has made this very year famous. Neil Young,Jackson Browne and Cat Stevens also own these models. I purchased this guitar in 1973. The previouse owner did not take very good care of it. He put a pickup in it and drilled a hole through for the jack. I had this guitar repaired in 1975 by a man named John Gray who was a guitar repair man for REO speedwagon from Champain Il. There were various cracks in the body and top and the pickup hole was plugged. the guitar was then refinished at that time by Mr. Gray. The cracks were all epoxy glued.The 1st 5 frets were replaced. The instrument is very stable. It has no vibration and plays and sounds exellent. I used this guitar for live performances throughout the 70's and 80's I played over 100 shows a year for twenty years with this guitar. I nicknamed her Gibby. I continue to use her for special performances and  recordings. Gibby has a great tone with very deep sound. her neck is narrow only 1 9/16 inch at the 1st fret. She has Grover tuners and a tuneomatic bridge. mother of pearl inlays on the headstock,neck and bridge. Her top is spruce, sides, back and neck are maple with rosewood fingerboard  The action is presice and needs no work even though no adjustments have been made in over 38 years.She has many minor dings from years of use but all in all is a great guitar and worthy of daily use for years to come. Totally this guitar is a collectors item. If she was in perfect shape I would start the sale at 8 thousand dollars. I really hate to get rid of this guitar but the economy has me giving her up if I have to. If in the event I don't reach my low price I will know that I am meant to keep her..If you know guitars and play this one you will never be sorry.

I forgot to mention It comes with a hardshell case in fair condition. the top of the case is split around the binding but still protects the guitar.
