This beautiful Gibson Songwriter Deluxe acoustic/electric guitar is in excellent shape. This is Serial Number 00023003 (receipt matches the SN inside and the guitar head). This is the rare Brazilian Rosewood model. This guitar should continue to appreciate due to the harvesting restrictions on Brazilian Rosewood. The following explains the value and scarcity of Brazilian Rosewood: Brazilian Rosewood is considered to be the “Cadillac” of guitar building woods. This species is found in scattered occurrences in the eastern forests of the Brazilian state of Bahia, southward to Espirito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, and inland to Minas Gerais. Because of a very long history of harvesting, the species has become scarce in the more accessible regions, and conservation efforts are now underway to preserve remaining stands.

I bought this new in 2006 (as a collectors item with no intent to play) and have only had it out of the case a few times - never played.
