This is a Gibson 1946 Blonde L-5 non-cutaway with double McCarty pickups.  It plays beautifully with a gorgeous sound, and has a stunning curly maple back and sides.  I purchased this guitar in 1994.  It has an older professional refinish that is extremely well done.  I had this guitar appraised in 2000 by George Gruhn in Nashville, TN.  Here's what he said:
"Description:  Serial number 99053.  This guitar has been professionally refinished and set up with a McCarty pick guard with 2 pickups.  It conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period with 17 inch non-cutaway body, curly maple neck, back, and sides, carved spruce top with f holes, and typical L-5 inlay and binding.  This guitar has exceptionally attractive curly maple which is a feature especially sought by collectors as well as musicians.  Current market value $5000.00 (five thousand dollars).
-George Gruhn"
The paperwork for the appraisal is included with price of guitar.
I am offering this guitar at an extremely low reserve.  Please bid with confidence.
International buyers will have additional shipping cost, to be determined by rate.
