This guitar has been kept in a smoke free, humidity controlled environment and has no issues (NONE!). As you may know, Gibson will no longer make guitars with Madagascar RW, which is too bad because sonically speaking, the wood is the closest of all to Brazilian RW.
The AJ was originally constructed by Gibson to compete sonically with the Martin D28. Given its scale, the volume projection is phenomenal while still maintaining perfect clarity under attack all the way up the neck. The guitar features GREAT intonation and, while I do not flat pick, takes equally well to a pick as it does to bare fingers.
These will not come up often and, when they do, they will most assuredly command a higher price each time around due to Gibson no longer using the woods.
Good luck!
