Gibson Acoustic

This guitar was purchased by me from Elderly Instruments in July, 1997. It has a very warm, pleasant voice and has been fine for finger or flat picking. A single crack on the front, along the pickguard at right side of the fingerboard, was repaired by Elderly in 1997 and has shown no sign of movement or further damage. Set up was also done by Elderly at that time and there has been no needed repairs or adjustments since.This is a very nice, small body, sunburst finish guitar. It has a spruce top, mahogany sides and back, ivory colored binding along the edges, and Rosewood fingerboard. It plays easily and retains  good action along the fingerboard. Due to age, it does have a number of scratches and some finish checking. There were small holes in the base of the neck that had held pins for straps. These were filled and finished and are shown in the photos. Frets, fingerboard and pickguard all are in fine condition. As far as I know, the tuners, bridge, saddle, pickguard are all original.Overall, this is a very nice guitar in solid condition with some signs of character.The soft padded case has served well for all these years and also is still in great condition.I am starting the bidding low enough to generate interest and give the winning bidder a very good deal.
