Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1957 Gibson J-185 in its original BLONDE finish that shows off an amazing example of flame maple on the back and sides. This fine example has been in the same family since it was purchased new in 1957. The original owner, the mother, passed it down to her son who took great care of it. It has a great playing neck with good frets as it has been refretted. Aside from the frets, one screw, and the bridge saddle, it's all original. These original gold single line Kluson tuning keys have three buttons that have shrunk, while the other three have not. This is very common for Gibson tulip buttons from this time. Only one of the original screws for the original Kluson tuning keys is missing, so we took one from the newer set of Kluson reissue keys that we're including in case you decide to use them. They will fit in place without having to make any additional screw holes. This J-185 even has its original brown/pink lined hardshell case. It's in great condition with only only one extremely minor surface crack on the top by the pickguard (featured in the last photo), some nicks + dings, finish checking, and other play wear. All braces are solid, and the top is flat and not sunken in. It also sounds INCREDIBLE!
