Here's a 1979 Gibson J-160E acoustic guitar in a factory original vintage sunburst finish. The serial number is 70169412 which dates to the Kalamazoo factory in 1979. It has just been deep cleaned and detailed. The front, back, sides and neck were waxed and buffed with a high grade carnuba wax. The fingerboard was cleaned, buffed and moisturized with an instrument grade lemon oil. It was set up with a fresh set of Martin Custom Lights and plays very nicely. There are no bulges or warping. The action is low, the neck is straight and there are no repairs- just honest playwear. If you're looking for a nice vintage John Lennon sound in a player- this is that type of guitar. It also has the factory pickup if you want to plug in.

The top, back and sides are really clean for being 33 years old. There's a few tiny chips on the top, below the pickguard. The bridge is tight and flush. The neck angle is good and the action is "Les Paul" low. The frets are original and are in pretty decent condition. The back is clean with one surface crack at the edge- see close up. It has a nice vibe. Overall, i'd give it an 8.5 out of 10- most people would probably rate it higher. No smokey odors or repairs- just that nice vintage aura.

Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case.
